New to 2023 and continuing in 2024 is our program to recognize talent in reporting and social media in students from eastern Oklahoma, providing the opportunity for two students to serve as the official Student Reporters for THE DISCOVERY AWARDS and possibly represent the region in New York City at the Jimmy Awards(R) in June, on Broadway ... all expenses paid! The Student Reporter opportunity has been added to the program as an effort to include students who are not eligible to be nominated as performers. Student Reporters work directly with THE DISCOVERY AWARDS team which allows them to receive an insider look at digital marketing strategies while gaining insight into the field as a whole.
The Student Social Media Contributor search process is similar to that of the Jimmy Awards(R). Applying for THE DISCOVERY AWARDS Student Reporter Search will also include the potential to be submitted for consideration to the Jimmy Awards(R) selection panel. THE DISCOVERY AWARDS will require student reporters to be fully vaccinated.
