The 2027 Discovery Awards School Registration is now open! Deadline to sign up is October 1, 2026.
Sign up today to be part of celebrating excellence in Eastern Oklahoma High School Musical Theatre! Presented in partnership with Celebrity Attractions and the Tulsa PAC Trust, THE DISCOVERY AWARDS embraces the importance of arts and theatre education in our school systems by highlighting and awarding excellence in eastern Oklahoma high schools currently producing musicals, and by encouraging and fostering the growth of new musical theatre programs in eastern Oklahoma schools that do not currently provide these opportunities to their students.
Professional arts adjudicators attend participating high school musicals and from their adjudication 2 School Representatives as well as potentially Acting Nominees and Performance Wildcards are nominated. In the spring, all qualified students attend a week-long masterclass workshop led by award-winning creatives ending in a showcase competition on stage at the Tulsa PAC. The overall awarded best female and male performers from a separate two-round process during Workshop Week win an all-expense paid trip to represent Eastern Oklahoma in New York City. There they participate in another week-long masterclass workshop led by award-winning creatives and ultimately compete nationally, on a Broadway stage, in front of Broadway producers and directors at the Jimmy® Awards, otherwise known as The National High School Musical Theatre Awards® in the summer. The fun begins before departure when area High School Musical Theatre Students work with Broadway pros to build a show on the big stage of the Tulsa PAC ... two will be chosen live that night to advance to NEW YORK CITY and the Jimmy® Awards! REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR 2027!
