STUDENT CONTENT CREATOR
This opportunity offers students from eastern Oklahoma to serve as the official Student Content Creators for THE DISCOVERY AWARDS. Student Content Creators work directly with THE DISCOVERY AWARDS team which allows them to receive an insider look at digital marketing strategies and creating fun and unique content to highlight the students, the live show, and THE DISCOVERY AWARDS as a whole while gaining insight into the field of Social Media marketing. “Whether you’re interested in pursuing a career in social media or not, being a student content creator really challenges the creative part of your brain to think outside the box.” – Trace Herrera, 2024 Student Content Creator.
The opportunity does not end here though. If selected as THE DISCOVERY AWARDS STUDENT CONTENT CREATOR you can apply to possibly represent the region in New York City at the Jimmy Awards® in June, on Broadway ... all expenses paid as one of the Jimmy Awards ® Student Reporters.
THE DETAILS:
Applicants should create a video up to 60 seconds in length showing or describing how they would uniquely cover THE DISCOVERY AWARDS on social media. The video should include at least one unedited segment of at least 20 seconds in length with the applicant speaking directly to camera. The videos must not include any performance footage; the content of the videos is otherwise up to the applicant. Any pre-recorded music used must be royalty-free.
We want to see your personality shine in this video! Show us how you would use your unique perspective to build interest in and awareness of the THE DISCOVERY AWARDS. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills in event coverage, visual storytelling, video editing, and social media. “I had a blast being the content creator for The Discovery Awards and it is such a great learning experience for anyone interested in social media,” Emma Perdue, 2024 Student Content Creator.
Please note: applying for the Jimmy Awards ® Student Reporter will call for a new video more focused on covering the Jimmy Awards ®
